The idea for Brewz ‘N’ Booze tours came about during the summer of 2020, our first COVID summer. The pandemic made it difficult to hike and camp in our favourite spots in the U.S. and B.C., so we explored Alberta instead.
We found a beautiful province, full of fascinating small towns filled with history, beauty, and to our pleasant surprise, in most cases, a local craft brewery or distillery.
For years, our hiking trips ended in a brewery for a well-deserved pint or two, or a handcrafted cocktail after a big day of exploring. We all committed to the tradition, visiting local craft breweries and distilleries whenever possible.
Unfortunately, someone always had to be the designated driver and would be unable to enjoy the tasty drinks on the same level as the others. This is how the idea of brewery and distillery tours came to us. We have built unique itineraries for tours all over the world for many years, and we thought it would be great to take the concept to a local level.
The more we talked about it, the more we realized this was the perfect opportunity to boost local tourism and the economy in general. We would bring people to small towns around Alberta to support those communities and the local businesses hit hard during the lockdowns.
As a bonus, it would give family, friends, and co-worker groups a fun-filled experience.
To top it off, we added incredible comedians and drag queen entertainers, swag bags, delicious food, and time to check out really cool boutique shops in these small towns that you may not otherwise visit. We look forward to having you aboard a Brewz ‘N’ Booze tour soon!

Select your hearty meal from the Brewz ‘N’ Booze exclusive lunch menu on arrival prior to your Private VIP tour of the brewery. You will then enjoy a tasting flight of beer to accompany your meal, presented by a Half Hitch beer expert. You’ll even have time to purchase some Half Hitch’s handcrafted ales prior to leaving.
Whispering Dutchman DISTILLERY

Enjoy a Private tour of the Distillery, along with tastings of their handcrafted award-winning Signature Gin and Canadian Vodka, or their superior grapefruit-infused gin and limited-edition blueberry-mint vodka. While you taste, you can shop and if you’re feeling especially daring, take home a bottle of 50 proof Moonshine and find out if it lives up to its name!
Wild Life Distillery

You will participate in a mixology demonstration from a member of the bar team and enjoy tastings of some of their delicious craft Vodkas and Gins, along with Rhubarb Gin and the Rundle Bar Gin, created for the Fairmont Banff Springs Rundle Bar reopening. You will then have time to enjoy a cocktail and buy some of your favourite spirits.
Grizzly Paw Brewing Company
CANMORE, AB
Participate in this unique 50-minute interactive brewery tour experience that includes a guided tasting of 4 of their craft beers. During your tour, you will follow their cicerone server certified guides through their facility to follow the creation of their craft brews from start to finish. Enjoy some complementary appetizers either before or after your tour (group will be split into 2 tours, 30 minutes apart). Spend some time in the Paw Shop, where you can purchase cans of their Craft beers, handcrafted sodas, apparel and collector items.

Participate in the funny and entertaining Prohibition Experience where you will travel back in time to the days of Prohibition when the Moral Reform League declared war against the scourge of alcohol. Learn about Alberta’s place in Prohibition history, Turner Valley whisky trading and how Eau Claire Distillery came to be. A guided tasting of Eau Claire Distillery’s award-winning spirits and an unmistakably delicious craft cocktail are included in the experience, along with a commemorative glass.
Hard Knox Brewery

Experience a behind the scenes custom brewery tour and afterwards, have your customized flight of beer in their casual cozy Tap Room. There may even be some live entertainment happening in their outdoor Beer Garden, where you can enjoy your favorite drink and purchase some food from their food hut. Pick up some of their Tall Boys to go, or refill your own growler (or buy one of theirs) with over 10 different beers on tap & a cider to choose from.

At Fallentimber Meadery, they love to share their story, product and their family owned Meadery. Take part in a tour of both the brewing side and honey house, followed by a Mead tasting session with one of their fabulous hosts and the opportunity to taste their honey. There will be time afterwards to check out their store and all the amazing products they offer.
Rocky view brewing company

Enjoy a flight of beer and share some flatbreads while you learn about the brewing process and their beers in the taproom of Cochrane’s newest family-owned microbrewery. What started as an offering of three flagship ales; Blonde, Amber and IPA, has now grown to also include German Style Pilsner, Belgian Witbier, Brown Ale and seasonal Adventure Series brews.
