Get Ready for the evolution of booze!
Sit back and enjoy the scenery as you drive to Water Valley for a tour and tasting at a local family-run Meadery. Then you’ll head back to Cochrane to visit a craft micro-brewery for some flatbreads and beer, while you learn about their brewing process. A quick drive across town for a distillery tour to taste some moonshine cocktails and special sweet treats. The last stop of the tour will feature a delicious locally produced charcuterie board with wine pairings guided by a Professional Wine Sommelier.

01 – Where to first?
Sit back, relax & enjoy the beautiful Alberta towns
You will be picked up in Cochrane in a comfortable mini-coach. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the first part of your journey through the evolution of alcohol, as you take a scenic drive to Water Valley. At the first stop of the day, you will take part in a tour of the Fallentimber Meadery, including both the brewing side and honey house, followed by a Mead tasting session and the opportunity to sample their honey.
After having some time to check out their store, you will head back to the beautiful town of Cochrane, known for its western heritage and its small-town hospitality. You will experience Cochrane’s welcoming and friendly vibe as you visit three different locally owned establishments, that all have a place in the evolution of alcohol.

You’ll visit a locally owned micro-brewery – the Rocky View Taproom, for some flatbreads and beer tasting, while you learn about their beers and brewing process. Then, on to the Whispering Dutchman distillery, for a private tour of how they make their handcrafted spirits, along with a moonshine cocktail tasting and Alberta Amaretto over locally made ice cream treat!
